Dear Agent,

We hope you are doing well. We want to share with you a new development regarding travel regulations for international students coming to Canada that could have a positive impact on your student.
As of October 20, 2020, the Government of Canada is permitting international students to come to Canada if they have a valid study permit or letter of introduction that shows that they were approved for a study permit, and they are attending a designated learning institution (DLI) with a COVID-19 readiness plan that has been approved by its province or territory. Cambrian College’s COVID-19 readiness plan has been approved, meaning that students can come to Canada for their studies, providing they meet all the requirements.
As a valued member of the Cambrian College International Recruitment Team, we know this will be welcome news to you. It is also imperative that you are familiar with the highlights of our plan in case you are asked questions from current and prospective international students who have not yet departed for Canada.
These requirements are among the strictest for any international travellers arriving in Canada. We are quite confident we have done what we need to do to ensure our international students arrive here safely.
